WDCR Summit Driver's School
In mid-March I completed my first SCCA driver's school. It was run, quite professionally, by the Washington D.C. Region SCCA at Summit Point Raceway.

It was a very fun and challenging school! Can't wait for my second!

Yosh was my crew for the school and we shared paddock space with Bill Ball and his son, Andrew (who borrowed Jack Banha's M3 for the school).

During the practice race, another guy came up on my inside left as I turned in for Turn 3. We found some tire marks on the car that indicate I may have been nudged a bit. In any case, I started to oversteer left and right in a 4th gear (high speed) turn. I put both feet in and locked the car up, going straight off to the outside of Turn 3 so I did not roll going off the edge of the track at a steep angle. I crossed the gravel trap and grass and bumped the tire wall, causing some minor front fender damage. We banged the panel out with a hammer and it looks fine now. We'll replace it later...
